OK, here's the real deal (accordion to me):
In 1998, I relocated to Minnesota and did not know a single soul. I missed playing and teaching the accordion very much. I got a laptop computer and an online service when I moved here and emailed a few accordionists throughout Minnesota that I found on the Internet at www.accordionworld.com. One of the responses I received was from "Squeezer" Dee Langley.
An email exchange with a total stranger blossomed into a wonderful, rewarding musical relationship. Dee and I became duet partners and dear friends. We've been performing throughout the Twin Cities since 1999 and have had fulfilling opportunities. We have met some wonderful people, and many talented local accordionists and students. We perform regularly at an eastern European deli in Minneapolis and get to mingle with other accordionists. Since meeting Dee Langley, I've had the privilege of playing the accordion at the Festival of Nations, Rheinfest, on the Good Day Minnesota show, and many private functions.
Our current endeavor is performing at house concerts. Thank
you to our hosts Steve & Tom!
Thank you, Dee, for bringing music back into my life!
(If anyone would like to hear my "east coast" version of how Dee & I met… just ask me in person. LOL!)
