    Dancing plays a large part in the Bulgarian wedding reception ritual. In some parts of the country it is even customary for the bride and groom to dance to receive their wedding cake. Instructor Don LaCourse of the Ethnic Dance Theatre will lead willing participants in simple and lively line dances such as Serbian Kolo, Pravo Horo, and Ruchenitsa.

    Please join the Folk Dancers of the Fox Valley for their 13th annual International Folk Dance Workshop and Dance Party with Yuli Yordanov and Mary Garvin. The 2005 Honoree into the AAMS Accordion Hall of Fame is Tony Ettore, accordionist, teacher, conductor, past-president of AAA and an outstanding person. A dinner will be held in his honor on Saturday evening, March 5th.

    Join OBI (orkestar Bez Ime) as they move into the orchestra pit to help Ethnic Dance Theatre tell this classic tale as only EDT can tell it! No ballet here, folks! EDT brings E.T.A. Hoffman's original folk tale to life with dances and music from all over the world, interwoven with Tschaikovsky's famous score. Klara is delighted with Drosselmeier's gifts of dancing dolls Ukrainian tin soldiers, Appalachian cloggers, music-box Austrian darlings and a Hungarian nutcracker. In a winter's dream she travels to the Land of the Sweets where dancers swirl Chinese ribbons, twirl Egyptian canes and caper in Mexican masks. Magical dances and music from Bulgaria, Germany, Russia and Sweden.

The EDT Folk Orchestra joins in for the dances!

    Klara is delighted with Drosselmeier's gifts of dancing dolls-Ukrainian tin soldiers, Appalachian cloggers, music box Austrian darlings and a Hungarian nutcracker. In a winter's dream, she travels to the Land of the Sweets where dancers swirl Chinese ribbons, twirl Egyptian canes and caper in Mexican Masks. Magical daces and music from Bulgaria, Germany, Russia and Sweden.
